I wasn’t a great student in high school, so I figured college was out of the question.
I felt like I’d get lost in big lecture halls with hundreds of people I don’t know.
I tried going away to school, and I just felt overwhelmed.
No one in my family went to college, so I didn’t either.
Life happened. I had a child. Or a sick parent. Or problems that sidetracked me.
We never had any money for college.
Most of our students have some college, but never finished a degree. So when you’re here, you’re likely to be with people who are just like you.
We know that going back to school can be intimidating. We keep our classes small, so you can relax and get to know your classmates. And we choose instructors who like students and have a passion for helping them do well.
Everybody needs a hand from time to time. So our instructors make themselves available for free tutoring if you happen to hit a tough spot. And we never schedule classes on Friday, so that you can use that time to catch up, to get a little extra help or just to unwind.
Most of our students are working, many of them full-time. So in addition to day classes, we offer many in the evening or on weekends — or even online. In fact, some of our most popular degrees are now available entirely online.
Money is always an issue, so our financial planning team works closely with you to help you find the resources you need to get the degree you want.
As we said, time is a big deal when you’re thinking of getting a degree. So we work with you to find the right pace for you. Maybe it’s a class or two each quarter. Maybe you earn a diploma or certificate, then build on that to an Associate, and then a Bachelor’s — even a Master’s degree. Start small, but dream big.
We’ve found that everyone needs a little encouragement from time to time. So our support team stays in touch with you from registration through graduation. And we provide lifetime Career Services to every graduate, to help you find opportunities to make the most of your degree.
We’ve worked hard to design the degrees that are in demand right now —and to fill each program with relevant courses and lots of practical experience to help you understand how what you learn in the classroom will apply in the world of work.
If you already have some college under your belt, our free credit transfer review is designed to help you get the most out of any credits you may already have. We even have a process called a prior learning assessment that gives you a way to potentially earn college credit for learning that has taken place outside the classroom.
Sullivan University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees.
