  • Honor's Day Celebration
  • Nanotechnology Symposium
  • "Louisville's Prescription for Wellness" Health Fair
  • Career Fair
  • Residency Showcase

2011 will bring many exciting things to the College of Pharmacy

We welcome this visit with excitement as we are extremely proud of the accomplishments that our students and faculty have made since July 2008, when we admitted our Inaugural Class.

In closing, I, along with our Faculty, Staff, and Administrators wish you the happiest of Holidays and the very best New Year 2011. I look forward to keeping you updated regarding our accreditation status as well as the programs and events we have scheduled throughout 2011.

May 2010

Dear Students, Friends, and Colleagues,

Since the arrival of the second graduating class, the Sullivan University College of Pharmacy has been busy with events such as the Second Annual Nanotechnology Symposium, the second Mortar & Pestle Ceremony, the Prescription for Wellness Health Fair, and grand opening celebrations for the Drug Information Center (DIC), InterNational Center for Advanced Pharmacy Services (INCAPS), and Center for Nanotechnology Education Research and Applications (CENTERA).

Earlier this year, the Class of 2012 celebrated their rite of passage into the experiential portion of their education at the Annual White Coat Ceremony. This ceremony represents professionalism, ethics, and integrity for the students, as they received their white lab coats and took the Pharmacy Profession Pledge of Professionalism. The Student Government Association and the Classes of 2011 and 2012 also organized the annual Cultural Day celebration and the Derby Party. These activities allow the students from both classes to interact and socialize during Professional Friday activities.

In June, SUCOP is hosting two exciting events. On June 3, exemplary students will be celebrated during our annual Honor's Day Celebration, where scholarships are presented for the upcoming school year. During June 3 and 4, guests from Pharmacy companies and the Class of 2011 will be participating in the first-ever SUCOP Career Day. This is an exciting opportunity for students to check out potential employers and to learn what the career opportunities the Pharmacy profession offers.

SUCOP is currently preparing the first- and second-year students their IPPE and APPE rotations, which give them first-hand experience into their profession. In July, the Class of 2013 at SUCOP will attend orientation and begin classes. The College of Pharmacy is excited for all its past and coming ventures.

Best Wishes,

Hieu T. Tran, Pharm.D.
Founding Dean and Professor
